Why do you need The Better Grass Program?
Why do you need it?
– To optimise the health of your livestock – high quality grass means high quality livestock.
– To ensure healthy crops and animals, your soil must be correctly balanced.
With fertiliser prices still high, it is imperative that you only buy products that will be effective in your soil. Not only are N P & K compounds expensive in most cases they are NOT the best fertiliser to use to grow high quality grass.
A good quality grass needs 20 or more minerals and your stock needs all of these if they are to enjoy good health and grow as they should - increasing mineral levels in grass will improve the immune system in the animals that eat it.
Why then would you use only N P K?
When you use ‘The Better Grass Program’ you will use nitrogen, phosphate, potassium (NPK) plus calcium, magnesium, sodium, boron, sulphur, manganese, copper, zinc, iron, silicon, iodine, selenium and cobalt all in a form the grass will take up so that your stock get ALL of their minerals in every bite of grass they eat.
The key to this is identification of causes of problems as seen from the very detailed soil fertility audit, plus the grass/silage mineral analysis. It is this information that allows me to make specific recommendations to:
a) Improve your soils fertility
b) Improve the quality of your crops (grass or whatever you grow)
• Highly palatable
• Rich in minerals
All at NO increased cost of production – in fact more likely lower cost.
We are not knocking NPK fertiliser, there may be a need for it, and certainly the right type of fertiliser or nitrogen when used at the right time and rate of application can have beneficial effects on grass growth and quality.
The problem is, many grassland programs do not produce high quality mineral rich grass and stock does not thrive as they should.
